Objectives

Rugby Stars is a new exciting initative by JAM Active. Our mission is to promote interest in the game, nurture talent and encourage fresh young players. All our Academies provide an excellent opportunity for boys and girls of all ages and abilities to develop their rugby skills and knowledge in an enjoyable and stimulating environment, under the instruction of our experienced and expert coaches.

Where possible every Academy is attended by a professional player, who will be passing on his experience and knowledge to the next generation of rugby players in Scotland, together with his team of coaches.

Safety and Insurance

We recognise as a priority our responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of every participant on our Academies. There will be a designated person trained in first-aid present at all our Academies and dealing with any injuries which may occur. There will also be a child welfare officer at every Academy we run to ensure the safety of every child attending.

Every child participating in a Rugby Star Academy will be fully covered under our insurance policy with Leisure Insure LLP, specialists in insurance to the leisure industry, and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Spectators and Photography

No spectator or parent will be allowed to take photos at the Academy. There will be a designated photographer present at every Academy that we run and photos will be available to buy at the end of the Academy.

Coaches

Each Academy will have a Head Coach who will oversee all coaching on the Academy. Every coach participating on the Academies will have completed an enhanced police check and will be fully aware of his responsibilites relating to the general wellfare of the participants.
